Internet Service Providers
If you would like to be an ISP powered by New Westminster’s open-access dark fibre—BridgeNet—complete the contact form below and we’ll be in touch soon.
BridgeNet is the City of New Westminster open access dark fibre network available for lease. Leasing BridgeNet is a simple process with short and easy to understand legal documents and uncomplicated and predictable lease rates. BridgeNet pays for all costs associated with installing a fibre optic connection to a building, with a commitment to a 90-day turnaround for most near-net locations.
Connecting to BridgeNet is simple and done in four easy steps:
- Internet Service Provider submits a request for a building to be connected to BridgeNet.
- BridgeNet assesses the feasibility of providing the connection depending on the distance from our current network.
- If the connection is possible, a service order is prepared.
- Once the terms of the service order have been agreed to by BridgeNet and the requesting party, the fibre optic installation is commissioned.
In addition to offering lighting fast and reliable fibre optic network for lease, the City supports its Internet Service Providers with the following:
- Orientation package
- ISP listed on the BridgeNet website
- Letter of introduction from the Mayor
- Economic development liaison
- Technical support
- Marketing materials, including supporting graphics
